For many people this year their New Year’s resolution is to lose weight, I’m lucky in that respect because I’m quite active anyway (I cycle to work and work out in the gym three times a week), but for those that want to lose weight, stay fit and have $2,000 burning a hole in their pocket I’ve found the perfect solution.

The Virtual Reality Treadmill is no standard treadmill; it comes with a High-Definition video player with different terrains and adjusts its incline so you really feel like you’re there. The video contains trails, hills and city scapes to virtually run through including landscapes of Italian towns and US villages.

The treadmill automatically raises and lowers to mimic the landscape on the television screen and includes 15 workout modes, a built-in heart monitor and chest strap, an audio port for connecting an MP3 player up to and an LED control panel.

So if you’re looking to lose weight or stay fit in your own home then the Virtual Reality Treadmill may be just up your street.

  • Weight Loss and Its Benefits

Weight loss is one of the world’s most discussed, debated and controversial subjects in the discipline of health and fitness.  The rapid increase of stressful and sedentary lifestyles in the 1980s and 1990s saw a significant impact on general health in developed and developing countries.  Obesity has grown to be one of the world’s most significant causes of heart disease, diabetes and some types of cancer.  The Body Mass Index (BMI), is considered a simple and reliable measure of obesity, and a person with a BMI greater than 30 is considered obese.  There are several natural and medicinal remedies suggested for obesity.

    The Mechanism of Weight Loss

Weight loss programs and healthy habits help a person remove excess fat and body mass in order to reach an optimum body mass index.  Although the BMI is a good measurement, several other factors such as ethnicity, heredity and hormonal balance may cause obesity.  The first step to weight loss is to understand the factors that cause it.  These factors differ from person to person.  Subsequent steps include lifestyle changes such as switching to a low-calorie diet, and starting light or rigorous exercise routines.  In some cases, a dietician may recommend weight-loss medication.

    Shedding Excess Weight

Weight loss medication like Orlistat, also known as Xenical, prevents the body from absorbing fat from food, thereby diminishing the appetite and craving for fatty food.  Along with diet and exercise, this drug is known to facilitate the loss of weight and body mass, making it a good aid to support a healthy lifestyle.

  • Erectile Dysfunction and Aging

Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve and sustain an erection for enough time to allow for satisfactory sexual intercourse.

Erectile dysfunction commonly occurs in men of all ages for a variety of different reasons.  In young men, erectile dysfunction is often caused by nerves or anxiety.  In middle-aged men, erectile dysfunction is often caused by tiredness, stress or bereavement.  In post-middle-aged men, erectile dysfunction is often the result of a narrowing of the blood vessels leading to the penis, but can also be due to underlying medical issues.

Erectile dysfunction is more common with age and can be prevented by the cessation or avoiding smoking and keeping blood pressure and cholesterol levels within normal levels.

The type of treatment required for erectile dysfunction depends on the cause of the problem.  Erectile dysfunction with a psychological cause may require psychological diagnosis and treatment, however if treatment of this does not solve the problem, medication may be required.

Cialis is the brand name for Tadalafil, just one of the many phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitor drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction.  Cialis works by inhibiting the action of PDE-5, with the result being enhanced penile erection.  Cialis is known to last up to 36 hours.

It is possible to get genuine Cialis tablets in 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg doses.  The tablets are typically yellow-coloured, film-coated, and almond-shaped in appearance.  Low-dose Cialis may be prescribed as a single-use erectile dysfunction therapy.

The drug is available on prescription only, however anyone in possession of a prescription is free to buy Cialis online.

  • In some instances you may notice that even though you are still dieting and taking Xenical that your weight loss may stop.  Don’t be alarmed if this happens to you as it is perfectly normal and is referred to as “plateauing.”  Although this levelling off does not typically indicate that a problem exists you should still consult with your doctor to see if the calorie restrictions of your diet need to be adjusted, and if you need to change your levels of physical activity.

As you progress through your Xenical plan and maintain your weight loss, you will find that you will not need as many calories as when you first began taking the medication.  As you are dieting and losing weight, fewer calories and less energy will be required.  Conversely, if you have increased your levels of physical activity then you are most likely to be building muscle while losing the fat.  Basically what you are doing is replacing the weight of the body fat with muscle weight.

When discussing your progress with your doctor, you should alert him or her to any changes that you have seen in your abdomen, breasts or chest, hips, and waist.  It is suggested that you keep a journal of any and all changes to these areas of your body as well as keeping track of the weight you have lost.  The bottom line is that if you notice any significant changes you should always consult your doctor about it.

  • Buying Viagra online

In an age of ever-increasing internet usage, many men suffering from erectile dysfunction are considering buying medication online.  Health authorities are concerned that those who do buy Viagra online should be well informed before doing so.

It is well known that the majority of men find it difficult to discuss sexual health problems and, for this reason, might want to bypass a face-to-face consultation and buy from an anonymous supplier.  The problem is that self prescribing exposes the sufferer to the risk of misdiagnosis and there can be serious health risks if the medication is not the right one.

Before buying any new medicine for the first time, it is strongly recommended that a prescription be obtained from a doctor, whether through an online, telephone or surgery based consultation.  The doctor will have considered all the underlying causes and will have taken into consideration the patient’s history and current medication before prescribing the right medication in the correct dosage.  Possible side effects will have been discussed.

It is possible to find genuine medical care on the internet.  Online pharmacies are often registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) and will usually display the RPSGB logo and a registration number.

Once a medicine such as Viagra or Cialis has been prescribed and used for the first time, the patient will be familiar with its appearance, taste and effects and will be in a better position to recognise a fake product.

Other precautions when shopping online involve being sure that the addresses and telephone numbers of the company are real, ignoring spam offers, and avoiding sites that offer generic Viagra and those that encourage self diagnosis.

  • Buy Levitra online

Levitra (Vardenafil hydrochloride trihydrate) is one of the most popular treatments for erectile dysfunction because it works by relaxing muscles in the walls of blood vessels in the penis in one hour or less, can be taken with food, does not react with alcohol and is felt to have fewer side effects than some other drugs.

Because many men find it difficult to discuss sexual problems face to face with a doctor, it is becoming common to turn to online pharmacies.  It is estimated that in the UK, more than two million people regularly buy medication this way.

To buy Levitra online is relatively simple.  It should be remembered that a prescription is needed because medications like this has side effects and they may interact with other medication.  To overcome this problem, a number of reputable websites will offer online consultations with resident doctors who will ask relevant questions, make an assessment and prescribe Levitra if that treatment is safe and appropriate.  The consultations may be free or a small fee might be requested.

Levitra comes in the form of a round, orange, film-coated tablet available in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg doses.  The logo of Bayer, the manufacturer, and the dosage is embedded on either side of each tablet and the pack is marked clearly with the Bayer logo.  The normal starting dose is 10mg.

Besides being used in the treatment of impotence, Levitra can be useful in the treatment of premature ejaculation because it has been shown to increase the time from vaginal penetration to ejaculation.

  • Priligy as a Treatment for Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is a common condition that affects up to 40 per cent of the male population in the United Kingdom.  Men who have this condition may experience an ejaculation during sexual intercourse sooner than they want to.  Men may use techniques to maintain an erection for a longer period of time, and they may also buy Priligy to help treat premature ejaculation.

Premature ejaculation is commonly caused by psychological factors.  If a man is in a new relationship and has anxiety over sexual intercourse, he is depressed or he has feelings of guilt, he may have trouble maintaining an erection.  Over arousal can also lead to premature ejaculation.  Certain health related conditions, such as a urinary tract infection or prostate problems may also contribute to this condition.

Men can buy Priligy to help combat this condition.  Before deciding if Priligy is right for them, men should have a Priligy consultation with their health care professional.  Priligy is a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor (SSRI); these types of medications can help balance chemicals in the brain that may have an effect on premature ejaculation.  Priligy is recommended for use in men aged between 18 and 64.

Priligy may cause several side effects, including headaches, blurred vision, congestion or fatigue.  Men who have kidney disease or liver disease, liver impairment or heart problems should not take Priligy.  To find out dosage information and other side effects, men should have a Priligy consultation with their physician.

  • Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction

Many men suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED). According to the National Health and Social Life Survey, ED most frequently occurs among men of ages 50-59 years. Risk factors for ED include underlying medical diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, prostatic hyperplasia and heart disease. Drugs used for the treatment of diabetes or cardiovascular diseases such as thiazides, spironolactone, methyldopa, propanolol, clonidine, digoxin, gemfibrozil, clofibrate and nifedipine can increase ED risk. Smoking and alcohol intake are also significant risk factors.

There are various treatments available for the treatment of ED. The first line treatments are phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors and include sildenafil or Viagra, tadalafil, and vardenifil. These oral drugs are effective for ED secondary to diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis.

However, Viagra and the other PDE-5 inhibitors do not boost libido, ejaculation or orgasm. They should be avoided by people who are taking nitrate therapy because hypotensive shock could occur. They should also be avoided by men who have congestive heart failure or cardiomyopathy because they increase the risk of heart failure.

Another ED treatment is alprostadil. Alprostadil or prostaglandin E1 is a drug that could be inserted through the urethra or self-injected. However, pain, prolonged erection and fibrosis of the penile muscle may result. Other injection combinations may include phentolamine and papaverine.

Vacuum constriction devices or VCDs are also known to be effective for ED. They are second-line treatments which can be used by men who cannot take the PDE-5 inhibitors or who do not want other ED treatments. VCDs draw venous blood into the penile muscle and use a constriction apparatus to prevent blood outflow and maintain erection. However, they may cause pain, bruising, numbness and ejaculation.

  • New data released last week showed that the demand for the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra rose just before Valentine’s Day in the US during 2010. The research, conducted by the Walters Kluwer Pharma Solutions firm revealed that nearly 200,000 Viagra prescriptions were written out in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, which is equal to around 1.3 million tablets.

Erectile dysfunction drugs such as Viagra and Cialis are usually in higher demand just before public holidays and Valentine’s Day being the time of love means it is even higher.
