No Not That Mohamed

I’m a big fan of north face jackets, yes they are expensive but they are great, i have a Resolve waterproof jacket which is not that warm, but it’s not meant to be. I also have a 550 down McMurdo Parka which is great it’s really warm and waterproof. It’s great for football as it easily keeps you warm but if you go shopping in it then you can get sweaty quite quick.
Anyway it’s recently got dirty so I thought I would wash it, I did a quick scan on the net to find out how to wash a north face jacket but couldn’t really find much.
I decided to wash in on a delicate setting with just a little bit of washing liquid. After about 40 minutes i pulled my jacket out and it weighed a ton. I put a clean towel on the floor and tried to press a lot of teh water out of it. After about 10 minutes i went down to the local laundrette to put the jacket in their big tumble drier, i put it in for around 30 minutes on a mixture of high and low heat as there was no medium setting.
In honesty there was still a lot of water within the goose feathers and the jacket was pretty flat, i thought I had ruined my £200 jacket.
I’ve had the jacket hanging on the back of a chair for a few days now and its pretty much dry and it seems to of got is thickness back which I’m really glad about.
I might take it to the laundrette once more to try and fluff it up a little bit more as some of the feathers are still a little clumped.
